    Job Description

    As a valued colleague on the Innovation Team within the Enterprise Strategy organization, you will conduct early-stage concept research, contribute to supporting the product lifecycle, and collaborate with the team in assessing product needs, managing plans, issues, and risks. The Innovation Team partners closely with the business to intimately understand customer frictions, identify opportunities, and develop robust concepts and solutions to remain competitive in the marketplace.

    THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
    The Enterprise Innovation - Product Management - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Drive early-stage ideation and concept development through research, data analysis, and market insights
    • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of multiple concepts
    • Partner with the business to support Fannie Mae's strategic objectives
    • Work alongside a dynamic team and cultivate a culture of innovation

    Qualifications

    Minimum Required Experiences

    • 6 years

    Desired Experiences

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent
    • Management and strategy consulting experience
    • Financial services or mortgage-adjacent industry experience

    Skills

    Required

    • Communication and executive presentation skills, written and verbal, including presenting new concepts and ideas to executive audiences in an engaging and informative way
    • Proficient in conducting thorough market/user research and analysis; experience in designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
    • Adept at synthesizing data, deriving valuable insights, and integrating user feedback to inform product strategy
    • Strong communication skills to articulate complex research findings, turning them into actionable insights for the conceptualization of new concepts
    • Collaborative engagement and communication style suitable for working with cross-functional teams including business, product, and technology
    • Concept development including evaluating concepts for desirability, viability, and feasibility through product research, user testing, prototyping, and other methods
    • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrated past capability to thrive in uncertainty

    Preferred

    • Experiencing developing and pitching business cases
    • Broad business acumen to tackle a wide range of opportunities and issues in an integrated fashion (e.g. markets, competition, business models, operations, organization)
    • Familiarity with advanced research methods and experimental design to explore and validate concepts
    • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and design thinking principles relevant to early-stage concept development, ensuring a user-centric approach from the outset
    • Experience in customer journey mapping, creating prototypes or minimum viable products (MVPs) to test and validate early-stage concepts with potential users
    • Experience developing product roadmaps and concept strategies based on customer and market insights, benchmarking, forecasting, etc.
    • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
    • Expertise in building and sustaining relationships across business, product, and technology divisions, and with third-parties to support business objectives

    • Skilled in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)
