THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

We are looking for a Digital Media Manager to join the Media Team to support our paid digital strategy, planning and execution for Sportsbook. This role will be tasked with supporting our full-funnel brand and direct response campaigns across paid social, display, digital audio and digital video to build brand awareness and drive new registrations and real-money players. This role will also be a supportive pillar within the team for planning such as TV, OOH, OTT/CTV and radio. We're looking for a team player who is comfortable working with data and analytics and is interested in building their career in media planning and buying and has an ear to the ground when it comes to emerging best practices and market trends.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead the digital media buying and campaign planning process across paid social, display, digital audio and emerging channels for Sportsbook
  • Work closely with the commercial Sportsbook team to drive business KPIs and priorities through digital media planning and execution
  • Work with brand insights team to plan testing roadmaps for media channels to get an understanding of channel effectiveness on brand metrics such as TOMA and recall
  • Own and build strong relationships with third party vendors. Be the main point of contact with vendors and work closely with them to evaluate media opportunities and optimize channels that will achieve FanDuel's business and marketing objectives
  • Work directly with vendors and channel managers to continue to maximize media efficiency and value to drive performance improvement and innovation across partners
  • Lead on briefing partners & agencies on campaign plans surrounding key Sports events & seasons and work closely with them to plan media that will meet the objectives of the brief
  • Own media forecasting and on-going budget management and channel mix optimization for digital
  • Lead on negotiations between media partners and agencies for digital media packages and opportunities
  • Contribute to final reporting analysis of campaigns alongside other internal teams, ensuring outputs are accurate and tie back to stated objectives
  • Assist team in development of strategic media framework for annual/quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily plans across our various campaigns
  • Continually explore channels outside of current media mix and drive media innovation

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 5+ years of experience in media planning and strategy across traditional media
  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic record and/or proven relevant experience in a performance marketing role at either an agency or on the operator side
  • Meaningful experience working with performance marketing and media metrics (CPC, CPI, CPA, ROAS & LTV) and understanding of the utilization and relationship between them
  • Analytically driven with strong understanding of underlying data and methodologies used to inform decision making and drive performance management
  • Strong understanding of paid social media channels
  • Strong management skills and experience working with and developing media plans
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, requiring the management & maintain of multiple projects at any given time.
  • Demonstrated experience in merging business performance data with 3rd party research and media planning information
  • Experience negotiating favorable rates and deal structures with advertising partners
  • Strong understanding of marketing testing and reporting methodologies
  • Ability to succinctly communicate both verbally and in writing, and provide clear direction on projects
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of internal teams and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and moving targets
  • Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Knowledge or understanding of the business and culture of sports and gaming preferred
  • Experience working across multiple businesses within a larger corporate structure is preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $93,000 - $116,000 CAD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: extended medical, vision, and dental coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; a retirement program with employer contributions; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes 13 holidays and one (1) floating holiday. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with applicable Canadian law.
