THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it
FanDuel is looking for a Commercial Director to help set targets across the P/L including revenue and costs and help teams around the business hit their targets. You will play a key role on the Sportsbook Commercial team, and will collaborate with multiple departments within the company including, but not limited to Finance, Marketing, Product, Data Science, R&T and Customer Ops. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive strategic iniatives at FanDuel. This is a very high visilbity & impactful role with regular interactions with the FanDuel executive team.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Own the delivery of the Online Sportsbook quarterly forecast processes, helping teams to set ambitious and achievable targets across the P/L
- Be the source of truth for the health of the Online Sportsbook business, leveraging data to drive actionable insights that raises the bar for our business performance
- Audit, review, and help guide the development of our reporting suite to meet stakeholder needs in an effective and efficient manner and help set the priorities for our business
- Work with the Acquisition Strategy and Planning team to set targets, generate insights, improve reporting and build out the analytics infrastructure to help guide their decision-making
- Plan and prioritize data product roadmaps on behalf of the SBK Business Unit
- Deliver improvements to Sportsbook Business Unit processes through automated solutions
- Manage a team of analysts to produce insights and drivers of business performance
- Own the day to day management of requests and tasks of your direct reports
- Provide line management, coaching and professional development to analysts in your team
- Identify and grow top talent within the analytics team
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field preferred with 3+ years of management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel required
- Ability to use languages for analysis, Python, R, Spark preferred
- Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format. Preferred experience working with Tableau for data visualization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing up, down and across organizations
- Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $166,000 - $227,700 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
