Our client, a leader in civil engineering and land development, is seeking a Project Engineer II (Drainage Engineer) to join their team. As a Project Engineer II, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative drainage solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Engineer II (Drainage Engineer)

Location: Ellenwood, Georgia

Pay Range: $69,000 - $105,000

What's the Job?

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of conveyance systems and design of stormwater management facilities.
  • Prepare technical documents including hydrology/drainage reports, pond siting reports, and permitting documents.
  • Design and inspect best management practices for erosion and sediment control.
  • Serve as Drainage Engineer of Record on various projects.
  • Engage in field reviews, site visits, and project research to ensure compliance with standards.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of experience in land development design, FDOT drainage design, and/or permitting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and StormWise (previously ICPR4) hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices for hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
  • Experience with the permitting process through the South Florida Water Management District and/or the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
