Our client, a leader in the research and development sector, is seeking a Laboratory Research Engineer to join their team. As a Laboratory Research Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Laboratory Research Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX 100% onsite

Pay Range: $19 to 23 per hour on W-2
Duration: 12 month contract 

What's the Job?

  • Lead testing on specific projects, collaborating with senior engineers to develop, test, and validate new methods for the re-qualification of existing products.
  • Implement new and existing test methods to perform physical, optical, and mechanical analysis on films, adhesives, and non-woven materials, as well as tape and dressing products.
  • Support method developers by actively engaging in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress.
  • Determine sample properties and assess performance accuracy, recording and reporting results to method developers and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Draft and release engineering-related technical documents, including Test Methods, Test Reports, and Test Protocols.

What's Needed?

  • Associates Degree in a science or engineering-related discipline and experience of regulated technical job-related experience or educational experience with physical lab work.
  • Experience in technical documentation and writing.
  • Familiarity with scientific instruments and lab safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working with MS Office products
