Our client, a leader in technology solutions, is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I to join their team. As a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I, you will be part of the Engineering Operations team supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Responsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and cooling systems.
  • Assist in recruiting efforts and deliver quality service to ensure all customer demands are met.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree and relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • 0-2 years of management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network design and low voltage cabling.
