Our client, a leading organization in the procurement industry, is seeking a Category Manager to join their team. As a Category Manager, you will be part of the procurement department supporting various internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proven negotiation abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Category Manager

Location: Boise, ID or Manasas, VA

Pay Range: $35 per hour

What's the Job?

• Manage supplier interactions, performance, and relationships within your assigned category.
• Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement processes.
• Utilize negotiation skills to maintain favorable terms with suppliers.
• Collaborate internally to develop key performance measures for regional suppliers.
• Participate in supplier benchmarking analysis to enhance procurement activities.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
• A proven track record in procurement.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
