Job description

We are looking for a qualified Assistant Manager. You will support multiple operational responsibilities within the startup environment. This includes assisting with daily tasks. The Assistant Manager will work with multiple teams within the startup, gaining exposure to different team and gaining valuable work experience.

What you'll do

  • Assist the Operations Manager in operational support duties.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure delivery deadlines are met while maintaining quality control standards.
  • Improve productivity improvements within the department and setting clear performance metrics and goals for the team and finding ways to enhance efficiency in daily operations.
  • Assess existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop and implement strategies to improve operations. This may involve reengineering processes, automating tasks, and introducing new technologies to improve accuracy and speed.
  • Monitoring & reporting - create regular reports for senior management, highlighting performance, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage teams for accuracy and compliance, includes tasks like hiring, training, and evaluating team members. It also involves providing ongoing feedback to help team members excel in their roles and work cohesively.


Qualifications

More about you:

  • Have Diploma/Degree in Business/Administration/ Management or with relevant work experience in Operation
  • Good leadership skills and experience managing a team at least 1 year and above
  • Cost aware & with a good appreciation for operations & procedures.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities to resolve operational issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other essential software tools is considered an added advantage, assuming a baseline level of computer literacy.
  • Experienced in supervising a team of staff for goals set will be added advantage.
  • Energetic, ability to work both independently & collaboratively.
