Description
We are looking for a DevOps Intern to join our Global Network Services team. You are passionate about learning complex networking, security, and cloud technologies. Coding skills with Python, JavaScript, and DAX are beneficial. You will have familiarity with integration methods using API and webhook technology and the ability to pull data from one source and integrate it into other tools. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in infrastructure such as network, network security, virtual cloud services and software development, data integration, and reporting.
What your day will look like:
- Assist to develop and maintain scripts using Python and JavaScript.
- Help extract data from multiple sources and its integration into different tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with different teams in Global Network Services (Network Operations and Engineering teams, Network Security teams, Network Architecture teams, Cloud Network Engineering, and Global NOC).
- You will use with tools such as PowerBI, ServiceNow CMDB, BlueCat IPAM/DNS tool, ExtraHop, NOM - Ultimate Toolset, ThousandEyes, and a variety of other tools and services.
- Participate in completing several projects that have a significant and positive impact on the business.
Qualifications
- Pursue a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Familiarity with Python and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks (front end, back end, and full stack) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, network security, security principles and cybersecurity best practices.
- Understanding of data extraction and integration.
- Familiar or focus to learn PowerBI.
- Understanding of APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Full availability during the day.
- Be currently enrolled in the University and for the next 9 months.
Monthly subsidy of $1000.

This is a permanent home-based role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
