LI-hybrid based Reporting to the ECS Chief Technology Office (CTO), the Head of TPM Office will lead and develop a team of Project and Program Managers, ensuring the successful delivery of the organisation's strategic and core projects and initiatives within the consumer products sector. This role is responsible for overseeing portfolio management, aligning projects with organisational strategy, implementing project governance, and continuously optimising project execution practices. The successful candidate will bring a mix of leadership, operational expertise, and strategic oversight to drive the PMO's impact across the organisation.

  • Oversee project portfolio to align with strategic objectives, including product launches and process improvements.
  • Establish an engagement process for TPM allocation to core, critical, complex, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure objectives are met, deliverables are on time, and projects stay within scope and budget.
  • You will Manage TPM resource allocation for effective project delivery.
  • Support teams in early stages of initiatives before handing off to TPMs.
  • You will provide Agile and delivery expertise to teams.
  • Support engineering in delivering tech changes, Archer records, and process improvements.

2. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project and Programme Managers, fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Provide coaching on project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Conduct performance reviews and career development planning.

3. PMO Governance and Standards

  • Develop and maintain PMO standards, templates, and processes.
  • Implement a robust project governance framework.
  • Conduct project reviews, audits, and lessons-learned sessions.
  • Ensure audit controls for portfolio management.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Serve as the primary contact for executive stakeholders, providing updates and insights.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships with other departments.
  • Communicate project progress and challenges across the organization.
  • Prepare and manage key initiative progress review meetings.
  • Provide portfolio reporting and highlight successes and challenges.

5. Strategy & Performance Management

  • Support SLT in planning activities, ensuring realistic and achievable plans.
  • Continuously improve methodologies, tools, and reporting systems.
  • Support Finance in resource Capex and Opex time booking and reporting.
  • Part of the ECS Technology leadership team, supporting team communications and improvements.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification is desirable.
  • 10+ years of project/program management experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role within a PMO or portfolio management.
  • Strong background in consumer products, managing complex, cross-functional projects in a growth environment.
  • Experience in strategic planning, resource management, and PMO best practices.
  • Experience in onboarding and managing 3rd parties for initiatives.

Skills

  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Aha, etc.).
  • Leadership and people management skills with a proven track record.
  • Financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and managing project financials.
  • Data-driven decision-making.
  • Change management expertise to drive organizational transformation.
