Description

At Experian, our mission is to empower consumers and businesses to make informed financial decisions. The Consumer Affairs Executive plays a crucial role in this mission by leading our public education outreach.

Why this role is important to us

This role is important in promoting and protecting Experian's reputation, guiding customers and stakeholders, and being an ambassador for our brand and purpose.

This is a hybrid role based in our London or Nottingham office reporting into our Senior Consumer Affairs Manager. Your role will involve some travel to different locations around the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Work that matters - What you'll be doing

  • Public Engagement: Deliver training sessions to the general public, external groups and debt advice organisations. As well as supporting consumer PR campaigns
  • Media Representation: Act as a spokesperson for Experian in multiple media formats, including print, broadcast, and podcasts.
  • Partner Support: Engage with industry, government, consumer groups, and debt advice sectors, identifying new opportunities for Experian.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster media relationships and support the team to build relationships with internal and external partners.


Qualifications

What you'll need to bring to the role & Experian

  • Ability to present information clearly at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint and delivering engaging presentations.
  • Ability to work with autonomy.
  • Maintain networks and relationships.
  • Produce work to high standards with excellent attention to detail

More about you

  • Interest in Finance: A passion for financial literacy, public relations, and the media.
  • Knowledge of Experian: Familiarity with Experian's products and services, especially credit bureau data.
  • Financial Advocacy: A commitment to educating the public about finance and credit reporting to support financial inclusion and health.
  • Industry Contacts: Good connections within the financial services industry, including consumer advocacy groups.
