Description

The Industry Consultant will help OEMs and their marketing agencies understand their overall market position and growth potential to drive new and used vehicle sales, optimize dealer network performance and promote customer loyalty.

This is a strategic position designed to ensure customers are maximizing the value and use of Experian information throughout the organization. It requires a proactive and consultative individual who is passionate about the auto industry and has experience conducting meaningful market analysis and building lasting business relationships.

Consult on and off client premises to support the use of Velocity, registration, sales, Brand and Dealer Loyalty and related information throughout the organization including Network Development, Sales Operations, Brand Management, Aftersales, Commercial, Regional office and C-Level executives.

You will be the primary on and offsite point-person for custom reporting, analysis, ad-hoc investigations, automotive data and Velocity training. Partnering with OEM partners and agencies.

  • Initiate analysis, presentations and recommendation for various departments based on latest market data and trends.
  • Develop and present insightful summaries and business implications to client teams based on Experian and client information.
  • Answer questions regarding Velocity and data/functionality/report related areas
  • Train current and new users including at corporate, Field and partner agencies
  • Lead meetings and feedback/QA sessions to discuss future report/information needs
  • Conduct meaningful Discovery sessions to assess customer needs and requirements for custom analysis.
  • Communicate project purpose, requirements and technical specifications to Account Management, IT and Project Management for level of effort, pricing and Statement-of-Work.
  • Partner with that Account Management team and conduct scheduled performance meetings with client business owners
  • You will report to Product Management Director
  • This is a Hybrid role that requires you to live in the Atlanta, GA area. Onsite attendance is required 3-4 days a week.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years automotive industry experience in a marketing, sales or consulting role
  • Requires understanding of the auto industry including business and operations, automotive registration and sales data, State privacy restrictions, end-user applications and query tools at the corporate, dealer and agency level.
  • Identify and analyze opportunities and their impact on the business
  • Knowledge of database design issues and concepts related to queries driven from compiled files and multiple data sources
  • Proficient in automotive registration, sales and loyalty data
  • Proficient with Tableau, report builder and query systems in general
