Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
- Experience with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
- Extensive knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
- Experience in Database Performance, Development, and Maintenance
- In-depth understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements
- Familiarity with relational and dimensional data modeling
- Extensive knowledge of database design, implementation, and conversion
- Experience in scripting such as shell, PowerShell, and Unix
- Experience in industry certifications for Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server infrastructures
- Experience with cloud services (AWS required, Azure preferred)
- Document routine database administration activities
- Onsite on client, in Faria Lima / SP
Responsibilities:
- Create and configure new database instances, including availability groups and failover clustering
- Facilitate brainstorming meetings to review, analyze, and evaluate systems and business needs
- Responsible for database backup and recovery methods, database access security and integrity, physical data storage design, and data storage administration
- Assist in selecting a database management system and maintaining database performance
- Participate in continuous process improvement
- Download and install database service packs and updates. Configure and maintain SQL security controls
- Make recommendations for system architecture in accordance with the best practices of the platform for which it operates
- Manage database backup and recovery, as well as disaster recovery planning, in coordination with the management team
- Create, change and improve database maintenance tasks and plans
- Proactively monitor database maintenance tasks, troubleshooting failed processes and resolving problems as quickly as possible
- Analyze and resolve database slowness and low performance issues
- Responsible for analyzing and adjusting SQL queries
- Responsible for database migrations and server upgrades
- Support big data ETL activities on the platform it operates on, creating and modifying database administration reports
- Integrate the database with corporate applications
- Develop SQL statements (T-SQL/PL-SQL) to meet database administration activities
