The User Experience (UX) Designer collaborates on the conceptualization of how learners interact with critical skills content to enhance the learners’ experience. Partnering with Learner Experience (LX), Product and Interaction Designers, the User Experience Designer visualizes course interactions and components with high success and user satisfaction rates. The UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive design for EVERFI’s courses and for executing a regular cadence of user testing and iteration.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, prototypes, course shells and other cross-functional UX artifacts
- Communicate design needs effectively with project stakeholders
- Collaborate with Learner Experience (LX) designers to connect learning objectives with clear, engaging, meaningful interactions
- Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis
- Interpret data and qualitative feedback
- Create user stories, personas, and storyboards
- Conduct usability testing
- Develop and maintain knowledge of UX methodologies and industry trends
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of experience in User Experience (UX) design, preferably in product/software design, in-house or agency
- Ability to explain and document complex design concepts into clearly defined scope and specifications
- Proficiency using design tools, Sketch or Figma preferred
- Experience prototyping, Sketch or Figma preferred
- Working knowledge of development languages, HTML5 & CSS3 preferred
- Experience using methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, etc. preferred
- Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for accessible web design preferred
- Ability to present a portfolio demonstrating experience with User Experience (UX) design, prototyping, front-end development, user research and/or experiment design
