EVERFI is seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Development (SDR Manager) to lead a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) that schedule and generate a high volume of qualified initial sales meetings to ensure EVERFI meets its revenue goal. The Senior SDR Manager ensures the team effectively researches, engages and connects potential customers to the revenue team, as well as collaborates with revenue leaders on how SDRs can best help advance deals into late sales stages. This person also serves as the connection between the Revenue & Demand Generation Marketing teams by planning and executing campaigns to engage target personas and accounts.
Responsibilities
- Coach & develop Sales Development Representatives to accelerate their onboarding and contributions on the job. This includes regular meetings to prioritize and strategize on objectives as well as to elevate the sophistication with which they approach their work.
- Track sales team metrics and report data to senior leadership on a regular basis
- Make recommendations to management to help define strategy and processes to improve productivity and scale the impact of team on pipeline sourced and revenue generated
- Assist the Revenue & Marketing teams with identification of target sectors and organizations
- Research targeted accounts to identify key contacts and information for team outreach
- Prospect into target accounts, utilizing outbound sales tools, campaigns and social outreach
- Qualify both outbound and inbound leads via email and phone and transition meaningful sales leads into the Sales pipeline
- Create personalized email campaigns and enhance existing campaigns to engage with prospects and generate demand for EVERFI’s products and solutions
- Record and maintain in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system up-to-date team productivity information
- Coordinate with the Revenue Operations team to maintain correct Account information in the CRM to reflect team member movement
- Coordinate with the Global Marketing team to maintain correct Lead Routing structure for internet leads
- Track and timely report on team progress to weekly, monthly and quarterly goals for initial sales meetings, pipeline sourced, and outreach activity
- Create and lead new-hire onboarding trainings on sales techniques and processes, skills to develop, as well as introductions to company history and product offerings
- Maintain current knowledge on the latest trends within the relevant target industry, education technology, and EVERFI’s platform and courses to adapt messaging to prospects' needs and areas of interests
- Other job-related duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in a sales development role with high call volume environment, 2 years preferred
- Working experience conducting a high volume of outbound phone & email activity
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- Ability to conduct proactive outreach to assigned territory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
- Strong collaboration skills
- Working experience with Salesforce or other CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred
- Experience with sales coaching and training preferred
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time as needed
