The Sales Manager is responsible for building prospective client relationships, acquiring new business, and achieving assigned revenue quota attainment. The Sales Manager will build and grow a pipeline of business as a result of outbound prospecting and high activity metrics. They will also navigate through complex organisations and sell to multiple decision makers the VP+ level and the C-Suite.
Your primary responsibilities:
- Prospect and secure meetings with leadership at companies to discuss our partnership model to being our learning solutions to classrooms around the UK and beyond
- Master our offerings and the competitive landscape
- Build and maintain account-based plans and pipeline in Salesforce.com
- Strategically attack a territory to close new business, be savvy in identifying and pursuing new opportunities
- Meet or exceed monthly activity goals for appointments completed, opportunities opened, demos completed, proposals sent and contracts signed
- Maintain professional and proactive communication with management regarding activities, customer needs, and other business opportunities
- Expert delivery and execution of sales presentations and demos
- Drive to individually compete while still being a fantastic team player
- Travel as necessary (up to 50%) within specific geographic territory
Desired skills and experience:
- 4+ years of sales experience in a sales, business development, or sponsorship sales role
- A proven closer with experience navigating substantial ACV deals
- Previous experience selling into the C-Suite, ability to lead complex sales processes at the C-level
- Strong track record of achievement, preferably selling education technology or at a PR/Marketing/Communications Agency
- Knowledge of and experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems to track deal pipeline
- Proactive, self-starter with good work ethic and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
