The Internal Communications Associate will support the Communications team as well as partner with the Office of the CEO and the Office of the COO on various internal communications projects that will support the entire organization during this exciting time of growth and change. EVERFI’s all-hands meetings, weekly emails, and other internal comms serve an important role to keep our employees connected to our mission, values, and business goals. Support social media employee advocacy efforts to further engage the EVERFI employee community and help to build out the #LifeAtEVERFI content stream. This is an exciting role to gain exposure to colleagues and teams across the company, while facilitating and accelerating critical projects that will bolster EVERFI’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent structure, cadence, and tone for all EVERFI internal communications that aligns with EVERFI’s culture, values, and evolving business needs.
- Manage internal communications calendars, including timelines, themes, and owners of key company communications to ensure communications are in sync and on schedule.
- Lead the coordination of a weekly internal company email that highlights EVERFI’s business and employees; collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect weekly stories, draft key sections, copy edit, add graphics, and lead the review and approval process.
- Lead the coordination of monthly all-hands meetings; prepare agendas, talking points, presentation decks/materials, and lead the review and approval process.
- Serve as the lead coordinator of EVERFI’s intranet; ensure critical internal resources are posted and available, kept up-to-date, and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
- Set alerts and stay up-to-date on weekly news relevant to EVERFI’s business; gather and prepare briefings on external cultural events and regulatory issues that influence EVERFI’s business.
- Train and engage employees to use social media employee advocacy platform - Bambu.
- Support senior leaders and executives (specifically CEO & COO) with their personal social media profiles and engagement, helping to amplify company coverage across personal networks while also elevating leadership profile
- Identify #LifeAtEVERFI employee and culture stories and collaborate with the social media team for external sharing
- Track and analyze data around the performance of internal communications, such as email open and click rates; provide feedback and recommendations on how to improve internal comms performance.
- Serve as a trusted partner across the organization, including with the Office of the CEO and Office of the COO; Learn the “voice” of the Executive Team, especially the CEO and COO. Manage special projects and support ad hoc communications as needed, including talking points, follow-up emails, memos, intranet copy, and FAQ’s.
- Manage confidential information and communications with a high level of professionalism and discretion at all times.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 1 year of internal communications or related experience
- Exceptional professional communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to adjust message to various audiences; strong copy editing skills
- High level of reliability and follow-through
- Ability to multitask under tight deadlines and project manage across multiple internal teams
- Creative with a high attention to detail
- Comfortable working with social media platforms
- Video production and editing experience are a plus
- Strong collaboration & relationship building skills
- Able to maintain a high level of discretion with confidential information
- Proactive, self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Proficient with technology tools (Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, video conferencing tools)
- Curiosity about the EdTech & Social Good/Impact Industry preferred
