Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff and coordinating the reporting and compliance activities performed within the US Government Compliance team. Your primary focus will be to oversee the accounting and reporting of government contracts and related costing activities, ensuring compliance with government cost and contracting regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Your responsibilities will range from set up and maintenance of structures and data within SAP, to providing and submitting data to support necessary reporting requirements. This role regularly interacts with mid to senior level management in the areas of Accounting and Finance, Operations, and Information Technology Services to discuss and resolve issues or recommend improved business practices and processes.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct various DFARS Business System and internal controls audits
- Plan and conduct FAR, CAS, and other government regulation audits
- Plan and conduct various Policy, Procedure, and contract reviews and audits
- Act as liaison with DCAA and other government auditors and agencies
- Communicate regarding new and revised government cost and contracting regulations, and other changes to government accounting principles and practices.
- Provide training to Esri personnel on various Policies and Procedures
- Complete annual Incurred Cost Proposal, provisional rates, and other government rate requirements
- Gather information and complete scheduled reports and required filings such as Small Business Reporting
- Gather information and complete required surveys, GSA and other procurement fee payments, and other government reporting
Requirements
- 12+ years in public accounting, federal consulting advisory, or related experience with 5+ years in a leadership role, demonstrating a track record of effective team management
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and DFARS Business Systems
- High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
- Mastery of verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, and problem solving
- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, and experience using PowerPoint in presentations
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or in a related field with an Accounting Certificate or qualification which meets the California CPA eligibility requirements
- US Citizenship
Recommended Qualifications
- SAP or other major ERP system experience
- Experience with DCAA, a public accounting firm and/or other corporate industry experience, with an emphasis on financial and accounting applications controls
- Master's degree in Accounting or in a related field
- CPA, CIA, or other accounting license
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance

$106,600 - $196,560 USD
