ELS is hiring for the position of Ranger in Palm Desert, California.
What you'll do:
The Campground Ranger position includes welcoming and greeting guests upon check-in, observing guest behavior and rule compliance on the resort grounds, answering guest questions and calls, making reservations, being efficient in Microsoft applications, handling emergency situations, running reports, and ensuring the safety of our guests by calling authorities when necessary. The ideal employee will provide excellent customer service by emanating a warm, welcoming smile, positivity, and professionalism and always staying calm in any situation at hand.

Your job will include:
- Welcome and greet all incoming guests through the campground gate, provide welcome packet information, and validate documents such as vehicle Driver's License, Registration, Insurance, and reservation tags
- Perform routine site checks to monitor guest behavior compliance with member and resort rules throughout the resort grounds; if necessary, contact law enforcement.
- Ensure that the property is properly secured, such as the ranger station, pool area, recreation lodge, and office.
- Assisting guests with reservations and resort information
- Run daily reports in DIGI reservation system
- Send KIPSU Text messages to all guests with current reservations
- Monitor and review daily guest incidents and maintenance work order logs
- Ambassador referrals for membership sales and commission
- Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
- Responsible for propane sales and refills
- Performs on-call emergency service as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & experience you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment,t and resolve problems diplomatically.
- Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Experience working in security and/or working in an RV resort is a benefit.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and social security or passport.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.

Estimated compensation for this position in the states of CA, CO, IL, MD, MNY, and WA is:
Hourly: $17.00 - $17.00

In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
