ELS is hiring for the position of Counsel in Tampa, Florida.
What you'll do:
The Counsel provides the company and its employees with legal advice and protection on a variety of legal matters.
Your job will include:
- Advise on legal issues, including contracts, property interests and government regulations.
- Ensure that advice is practical and strikes a balance between legal risks and pragmatic business needs.
- Prepare, negotiate and review company contracts, requests for proposal, non-disclosure agreements, licensing agreements, employment contracts and other legal documents.
- Develop the company's policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance and/or regulatory affairs.
- Consult with management, commercial advisors, tax experts, accountants and marketing staff.
- Exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on relevant laws and research.

Experience & skills you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Juris Doctor degree and a member in good standing with the applicable state bar association.
- 10+ years of experience working in corporate law, including taxation, mergers and acquisitions, contracts and corporate finance.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on company needs.
- Excellent research, written and verbal communications skills and expertise in negotiating with various parties.
- Dedication to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive information.
- Willingness and ability to travel to legal proceedings as necessary.
