Job Description

We are looking for a professional Operations Administrator to join the Equinox team. This is a great position for candidates looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization. Responsible for the daily administration, reporting, and support of payroll and compliance related activities in assigned club(s) within the United States.  

 

The Operations Administrator will directly report to the Compliance Manager and indirectly report to the Head of Compliance.  

 

Essential Functions: 
 

  • Communicates effectively to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws, and state regulations. 

  • Provides administrative support at club level with labor compliance, wage & hour compliance, payroll administration, Equinox policies & procedures, etc. 

  • Manages the daily, weekly and monthly preparation, reconciliation and maintenance of key operational reports and metrics pertaining to compliance to present to upper management. 

  • Responsible for interpreting data and making recommendations to upper management. 

  • Remains abreast of company and departmental policies, regulatory changes, industry standards and best practices. 

  • Recommends and assists in updating and communicating compliance procedures in accordance with company standards. 

  • Escalates risks, issues or concerns to upper management and Compliance Manager. 

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to clubs when necessary. 

  • Serves as in club point person for daily function of club time clocks. 

  • The daily time keeping reconciliation of certain hourly departments timekeeping records to ensure proper timekeeping procedures and ensure compliance in accordance with FLSA. 

  • Create, maintain and share reports with club managers. 

  • Ensure payroll timekeeping records are updated and finalized by payroll deadlines. 

  • Effectively communicate, via phone and via email with employees, managers, HQ & club teammates regarding compliance 

  • Other duties, as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1-2 years of administrative/payroll experience with exposure to CA employment law, a plus 

  • Demonstrates initiative and is able to work independently. 

  • Strong attention to detail and insistence on accuracy. 

  • Communication, time management, and problem solving skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Has ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high performance standards. 

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). 

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. 

Pay Transparency: $15-18.00 per hour  

Please note this is a full-time, seasonal position (<6 months) that is not benefits eligible.
