Supervisor, HR Services

Job Summary

The HR Services Team Lead / Supervisor will oversee an HR Services team managing the day to day administrative and operational support for a defined HR process area ensuring a quality employee experience. The HR Services Team Lead / Supervisor will ensure the assigned process team's accuracy, timelines, compliance, and great service for their customers. They will drive and implement process improvements and will support change management for assigned process area.

Responsibilities

Team Management- Payroll preparation and Life Cycle Changes

  • Provide leadership to direct reports and build a highly capable team through the attraction, training and development of the necessary skilled professionals to meet the business needs
  • Set tasks for the team, act as a subject matter expert for assigned process and will ensure that the team are able to deliver
  • Manage the workload of assigned process team, ensuring that work is completed within set performance standards on timeliness, quality and productivity
  • Work seamlessly with the HR Services leadership to build efficiencies into the entire team
  • Actively participate in the creation, documentation and end to end management of assigned process area
  • Be accountable for data integrity in systems and perform appropriate and relevant audit controls are in place for assigned process area
  • Support, develop and train team members on HR systems and processes for assigned process area
  • Serve as a first point of escalation for team members to resolve any complex issues for assigned process area

Process Improvement

  • Participate in the project management of key projects impacting assigned process area
  • Analyse key performance data to recommend and implement continuous process improvements for assigned global HR Services tier team and processes
  • Ensure consolidation and consistency of key HR processes and practices globally for assigned process area mindful of statutory and valid local intricacies
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of both new and/or changes to policies and programmes including systems testing for assigned process area
  • Develop effective communication and education materials for employees, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate information to employees for assigned process area

Qualifications

  • Proven years of progressive experience, with proven years of relevant leadership experience managing a shared services or HR Operations team
  • Experience in standardizing / re-engineering HR processes that can help build scale at a global level
  • Exceptional communication skills, impeccable customer service skills, and positive attitude in challenging situations; ability to communicate effectively and work with confidential and sensitive information at all levels of a large, complex organization
  • Experience of HR Operations and developing KPIs and SLAs to enhance service delivery. Solid HR functional experience and previous HR Shared Services experience or experience answering employee queries in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess good influencing skills, conflict management and resolution skills
  • Experience on managing virtual, cross culture teams
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative and ingenuity to solve complex problems and implement remedial measures
  • Must be able to exercise judgement and independently determine and take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance / direction. Exercises latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills

Preferred experience

  • Agile/Lean Sigma/Six Sigma quality and process improvement experience
  • Experience with Workday, ServiceNow HR Service delivery platforms
