Strategic Account Executive

The Team and the Role

As a member of Equinix's Sales Team you will identify growth opportunities, make new relationships, and close large & strategic deals whilst helping organizations to navigate through their digital transformation journey. Within this team the Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for defined number of Global Accounts, acting as their trusted advisor by helping them reach their Digital transformation goals.
As Strategic Account Executive, this person should have a multi-cultural mindset "opening the world" to your collaboration with global colleagues and customers.

The role in few points

The Strategic Account Executive focuses on some of our largest customers, expanding the Equinix offering across their business and becoming a real advisor to solving their most strategic problems as it relates to digital.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in assigned accounts/prospects


  • Understand customers' business objectives, challenges, and needs to effectively position Equinix.


  • Facilitates customer relationships to ensure timely resolution of customer issues


  • Conducts regular business reviews with customers to identify and develop new selling opportunities


  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.


  • Works closely with internal teams such as (Global Account Team, Sales Engineers, Solutions Architect, Customer Care, external partners etc.) to provide the customer with a seamless experience.


  • Utilisation of internal tools and data to identify opportunities for growth and areas of improvement
