Senior Staff Infrastructure Engineer (Colombia Only)

Job Summary

Senior application administrator with experience in areas including installation, configuration, build, deployment, migration, refreshes, backups and troubleshooting. May also have experience in audit, compliance and governance. Should understand the importance of application security and control.

Responsibilities

Experience and Deep Knowledge in following areas:

  • Experience in Cloud Architecture and Design, both GCP and AWS
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategies that align with business goals
  • Experience in various cloud services in GCP (Dataflow, composer, Cloud Function, BigQuery, AppEngine, LB and GKE) and AWS
  • Develop and implement automated deployment pipelines for multi-cloud environments
  • Automate provisioning using terraform(IaC), scaling, and monitoring processes
  • Implement DevOps best practices, such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), version control, and automated testing
  • Utilize DevOps tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Implement security best practices for multi-cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance
  • Manage Enterprise and Open source Kafka clusters
  • Automation in Configuration like Patching and Setup of New Kafka Cluster using Ansible (roles, modules, Jinga template)
  • Automation of various manual activities using Python
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes(K8s)
  • The ability to work completely independently or with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Proven years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related technology
  • Availability to work in the office twice a week
  • Demonstrable experience working in large scale enterprise production systems. Prove years of operational experience required
  • Experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure), VM and container virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Very detail-oriented in planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up
  • The ability to work completely independently or with a team
  • Team player attitude with experience working in a collaborative environment
