Senior Manager, Sales & Partner Enablement

Job Summary

The GTM Readiness Sr. Manager, Instructional Design will lead a team who is responsible for creating effective and engaging global enablement at scale for sales, channel, technical sales, customer success and revenue operations. This enablement spans products and services, skills, tools and processes.

The GTM Readiness Sr. Manager, Instructional Design is responsible for scoping, developing and measuring audience relevant enablement, as a manager and coach, and in the context of their own enablement projects. Success in this role hinges on instructional design best practices and innovation, as well as a deep understanding of Equinix's business, GTM motions, and the market landscape. Natural curiosity, a growth mindset and a passion for being a student of the business are critical.

The GTM Readiness Sr. Manager, Instructional Design is a people manager role that is based in Dallas or Toronto and will report to the VP, GTM Readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of instructional designers responsible for the scoping, design, development, and execution of scalable learning solutions that are audience specific, actionable and drive measurable business impact. This includes media-rich learning programs, exercises, tutorials jobs aids and assessments, to name a few
  • Identify and implement new, innovative enablement processes and learning solutions that accelerate enablement development cycles and deliver compelling learning experiences that are aligned with how we learn in our every-day-lives, going beyond traditional learning and development (ILT, VLT and online learning)
  • Review ID team's design documents, development documents, draft curriculum and final deliverables to ensure optimal modalities, business acumen, audience relevancy, meaningful learning engagement and effective learning assessment
  • Partner with target audiences and business stakeholders to identify the needs and learning requirements of the roles we enable and what constitutes content relevancy
  • Collaborate with other GTM Readiness leaders to align on priorities, audience requirements, new instructional design approaches, metrics and success factors
  • Drive, monitor and continuously enhance our instructional design methodology, as well as identify new and innovative design and authoring practices and tools
  • Own and execute your own portfolio of enablement projects, working in the capacity of an instructional designer to research, scope, design, develop, launch and analyze the impact of curriculum
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to small and large groups as needed
  • Foster a team culture that his collaborative, innovative, inclusive, and results-oriented
  • Build a high-performing team through active coaching, with an emphasis on instructional design skills, business acumen and innovation

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading enablement teams such as sales enablement, revenue enablement, channel enablement or customer enablement, with a minimum of 5 years working in and/or with sales, channel and/or customer success
  • Success identifying and implementing new design and authoring tools to transform content development and learning experiences
  • Creative, critical thinker and problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and is adept at solutioning
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, taking a consultative approach and influencing and aligning different perspectives
  • Ability to synthesize complex, often disparate, information, distilling it to simple and actionable concepts using audience specific language
  • Proven track record of scoping, building, and executing enablement programs, reflecting instructional design and program management best practices
  • Proactive, self-directed and growth oriented
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills
  • Highly proficient in in Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline), Camtasia and Canva, along with experience using emerging AI design and authoring tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
