We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to oversee and manage the successful implementation of mission critical multidisciplinary projects to our Managed Services customers and Is responsible for planning standards reviews and setting strategy for company-wide programs/portfolios.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, technology implementation, and team leadership. This is a senior-level position that requires exceptional organizational, communication, problem-solving, customer first mindset, leadership, management and strong cross-functional relationships skills and previous experience as a senior manager or equivalent seniority.

What you'll be doing

  • Provides management and leadership across the team to ensure the team's growth is in alignment with business needs. In partnership with direct reports, may set functional and development objectives for immediate team members and their staff. Sets direction for the business function
  • Supports functional leadership in developing functional planning by rolling up department continuous improvement areas and developing holistic plans to close functional gaps
  • Encourages feedback and has stakeholder knowledge of function and manages expectations
  • Responsible for a team who has multiple and broad communication responsibilities
  • In tune with executive communication needs
  • Challenges the team and others on finding a balance between effective communications whilst pragmatic with volume, frequency and/or content
  • Is the highest level escalation point within the team for complex issues
  • Challenges the team to ensure lateral thinking and information is fully analyzed to achieve resolution
  • Where necessary, may refer and escalate outside of the immediate team
  • May direct multiple teams that are responsible for delivery of company wide strategic programs. Directs multiple project and program management business professionals responsible for delivery of companywide strategic programs/portfolios.
  • Ensures KPI's are in place for the team which are appropriate for the needs of the function and its stakeholders
  • Accountable for resource planning (people, finances etc.) across the team
  • Defines and effectively communicates project management methodology and its application to customer solutions
  • Develop and execute the overall implementation strategy for Managed Services technology projects, in alignment with business objectives and client requirements.
  • Monitor overall project progress and performance indicators, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities to exceed customers' expectations.
  • Act as third-level escalation point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and effectively managing and meeting expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the team, identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management, implementing relevant advancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build a network that helps to continuously identify and connect with cross-functional stakeholders; negotiate solutions that consider enterprise-wide impact
  • Lead and manage a team of project managers, people managers, engineers, and technical specialists to ensure project success, timely delivery, and high-quality outcomes in alignment with Equinix's strategy.
  • Develop and retain a high-performing, healthy and highly engaged team, creating a sustainable and diverse talent pipeline to meet strategic objectives
  • Act as third-level escalation point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and effectively managing and meeting expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the team, identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management, implementing relevant advancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

What we'll expect from you

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Fluent English required
  • Strong knowledge in project management, preferably in a technology implementation role, with experience in managing complex, large-scale projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as Agile and PMBOK.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, engage and develop teams to achieve project goals and deliver outstanding results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the capacity to identify and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Work experience and building relationships with other cultures and diverse teams.
