Job Summary
As a Level 5 Senior Customer Operations Data Center Technician, you will take on a leadership role in managing work order requests, ensuring meticulous documentation, and overseeing complex orders. Your responsibilities will include leading the installation of customer equipment, mentoring junior technicians, and managing cross-connect projects. You will conduct advanced testing and troubleshooting, support operations and security teams, and drive customer satisfaction initiatives. This position also involves managing deployment expectations and providing on-site support while leading projects and initiatives. Join our exceptional team in FR13, Frankfurt! We are expanding!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management and prompt response to work order requests, collaborating on complex orders while ensuring comprehensive documentation in the ticketing system.
- Oversee the installation of customer equipment, including rack and stack operations, ladder racks, fiber raceways, cable management, patch panels, ground cabinets, post racks, tape changes, and backup tasks, while mentoring junior staff.
- Manage standard cross-connect work orders, including installation, terminations, and modifications, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Conduct advanced testing and installations, assist with Layer 1 cross-connect certification testing, and perform semi-routine testing as directed, providing guidance to team members.
- Collaborate with operations and security teams to ensure seamless operations and address any issues proactively.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring compliance with order execution requirements, delivering exceptional customer service, managing time expectations for new deployments, and providing on-site support through access and escorting services.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Completed training in IT or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German and English.
- Experience: Extensive work experience in the IT field, with hands-on experience in hardware maintenance and installation, as well as proficiency in ticketing systems. Prior Data Centre Experience is a must.
- Customer Service: Strong customer and service orientation with a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations.
- Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and a deep understanding of data center operations.
