Job Summary

Equinix is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Global Compensation team. This critical role will be instrumental in ensuring that our compensation programs are competitive, effectively governed, and aligned with our overall Total Rewards Strategy and Compensation Philosophy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compensation principles and best practices, analytical skills, and a passion for data-driven decision-making with an aptitude for automating and improving compensation processes using technology.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Benchmarking - Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to evaluate the competitiveness and fit-for-purpose of our compensation programs, including base pay, supplemental pay (overtime, allowances, etc.), short-term incentives, and long-term incentives. The role will have a primary focus on benchmarking base pay but may focus on the other areas from time to time
  • Manage and optimize our compensation benchmarking software (BetterComp), ensuring an efficient and effective benchmarking process, and data integrity of our surveys, job matching, market pricing, and compensation structures
  • Research and analyze market trends and best practices in compensation to proactively inform leadership and make recommendations on ideal program design
  • Model the financial impact of changes to compensation program design to ensure that program spend meets business requirements
  • Develop and maintain compensation dashboards and reports to track key metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to leadership
  • Monitor both current and proposed legislation that impacts compensation policies and practices to ensure compliance
  • May be asked to collaborate within other functions across the People Team (Recruiting, Workforce Analytics, HR Systems) to deliver on our compensation programs
  • May be asked to participate in the design and deployment of the company's annual compensation planning process, including salary reviews, bonus awards, and stock awards

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more key compensation subject matter areas
  • Experience in designing & implementing compensation programs, preferably in a global environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate data and analysis into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis; Power Query experience is a plus
  • Solid communication skills - both oral and written
  • Experience with HRIS is a plus (e.g. Workday)
  • 5+ years of experience in Compensation preferred
