Senior Accountant- Reporting and Analysis, GL Accounting Team

Job Summary

We are looking for a new member for our team of finance professionals who are responsible for legal entities in 19 countries across EMEA, in a rapidly growing US technology company. US GAAP month end closing, analytical reviews, external and internal reporting, journal entries, mergers and acquisitions, statutory financial statements, audit engagement and business partnering are all part of the story. The Team

The EMEA Reporting and Analysis team, as part of the larger General Ledger team, forms part of a truly global controllership organisation. We are a motivated and driven team, with a distinct international flavour, that work together towards achieving a common goal. This team currently consists of 7 people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Responsibilities

The GL Team is where it all comes together.

  • You will have full ownership over a number of operational entities and will be responsible for obtaining a clear understanding of all company activities and ledgers
  • You will work on a regular basis with different finance teams like Revenue, Fixed Assets, Lease, AP/AR, FP&A and Global Accounting Operations teams
  • You will have to prioritize your own workload and work with the team to deliver against ambitious deadlines
  • You will do a lot of analysis and provide different internal and external reporting

Qualifications

Do you have excellent analytical skills, an open and proactive personality, are you hands-on & creative, with a good eye for detail and would you like to make an impact?

  • Extensive operational accounting experience (3+ years preferred)
  • Accounting Degree or similar professional qualification
  • Experience with US GAAP closing process
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in external reporting incl. statutory financial statements
  • Experience working in a Multi-National Corporation a plus
  • Oracle Cloud knowledge would be a plus
  • English required, + one or more European languages preferred
