Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Program and Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical and/or mechanical and project management experience, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards successful project delivery. Responsibilities include defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Planning

  • Applies a range of approaches to planning and gathering information in which to develop/facilitate/lead more complex Business Cases, plans and schedules (i.e. ROI)
  • Competent in the use of planning tools, considers and develops cross functional plans

Stakeholder Management

  • Works with numerous stakeholders and may work with government/governance bodies
  • Understands stakeholder needs and builds effective relationships
  • Demonstrates influencing skills to achieve solutions and dealing with challenging stakeholder situations

Communications

  • Uses a variety of communications methods to deliver information relevant to the audience and project needs
  • Is fully aware of standardized tools and template requirements and is a 'go to' person for feedback on the development of project/program management standards

Risk Management

  • Approach to risk management spans projects level up to strategic risk management where required
  • When faced with issues applies lateral thinking and analyses available information to solve problems and engages with teams to resolve

Project/Program Delivery

  • Responsible for program delivery of multiple related technical projects required for a specific business functional strategy
  • Will mentor junior project/program team members in project management

Resource Management (people, finances etc.)

  • Will problem solve resource/budgetary issues with internal teams and external suppliers and conclude disputes successfully and independently
  • Will negotiate and secure resource needed for the success of the program / project

Other

Typical projects will include but not be limited to end-of-life equipment replacement, deferred and minor expansion projects (project value < 10M$), energy efficiency upgrades, BCM(Branch Circuit Power Monitoring), DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management , SPOFs (Single Points and Failure), Remediation, Global Enablement initiatives, etc.

  • Has an in-depth technical knowledge of datacentre operations (preferred)
  • Resolves complex issues and escalations independently at all levels
  • Assists in process development and documentation
  • Documents lessons learned and shares with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Several years experience in project management preferred
  • Diploma to a Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • PMP or Prince2 Practitioner certification preferred
  • Mechanical and or electrical engineering experience preferred

  • Competent in the use of planning tools, considers and develops cross functional plans
  • Effectively communicates progress of programs / projects
  • Demonstrates influencing skills to achieve solutions and dealing with challenging stakeholder situations
  • Financial acumen, ability to connect program objectives to financial results, fluent with project budget management
  • Fluent English, both written and speech is mandatory
