Job Summary
We are seeking a mid-level Portfolio & Program Manager to manage programs and oversee relationships with the Equinix Foundation portfolio of 25 nonprofit grantees. This role involves managing the full grant lifecycle and associated programs, as well as fostering strong, trust-based partnerships with grantees to advance the Foundation mission of bridging the digital divide.

Responsibilities
Grantee Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, fostering strong, collaborative and trust-based relationships
- Assess the unique needs of each grantee to identify and deliver ways that the Foundation can engage with and support the organization beyond funding
- Coordinate site visits and lead mid-way and annual calls with grantees to monitor progress and address challenges
Grant Process Management
- Oversee the grant making process, from researching and sourcing new opportunities to assessing and interviewing applicants, to onboarding new grantees and reporting on their impact.
- Conduct due diligence of prospective organizations to ensure compliant grantmaking and alignment with the Foundation's mission and grantmaking criteria.
- Work closely with Foundation Operations to ensure compliance and oversee the execution of grant agreements.
Program Management
- Develop and manage year-round skills-based volunteer program
- Develop and manage a product donation program
- Oversee the Digital Climate Equity Fund and other funding and partner opportunities related to environmental sustainability
- Work with cross-functional internal teams on new program initiatives that involve Foundation grantees
Reporting and Compliance
- Work closely with Foundation Operations to ensure all grant activities comply with relevant tax laws and Foundation policies
- Prepare and submit required reports to stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and other internal teams, that align with impact measurement approach
- Support delivery of an impact measurement approach and baseline study to inform future reporting
- Oversee the design and development of the first Foundation Annual Report
- Monitor grantee performance and outcomes, ensuring alignment with grant objectives
Collaboration & Development
- Collaborate with the Foundation, Community Impact, and other cross-functional team members on all grantmaking and program management to ensure coordination and alignment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Operations, and Communications on join initiatives
- Collaborate with external partners and customers, as needed, where there is co-funding and other coordinated efforts in service of grantees
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant management, program management, and digital inclusion to ensure we are operating as a best-in-class corporate foundation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred
- At least three years of experience in grants management, nonprofit management, corporate philanthropy or a related field
- Strong understanding of grant compliance and reporting requirements
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with, knowledge of, and/or a commitment to the mission of advancing digital inclusion and equity globally
- Experience with, knowledge of, and a belief in the importance of using a trust-based philanthropy approach with grantee relationships
