Performance Media Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The Performance Media Marketing Manager role at Equinix will act as a functional expert residing in the Digital Marketing Department. The Digital Marketing team oversees global marketing website production, digital analytics, web content, SEO and paid media. We are seeking an experienced Performance Media Marketing Manager with a strong background in reporting, analysis and action driven insights to join our Global Digital Marketing team. As a Performance Media Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and upsell with emphasis on reporting and optimization of various digital media channels in multiple countries globally. Your expertise in analytics and media tactics will help to drive actionable insights and gradually improve campaign effectiveness to build value for your work internally. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in performance-focused media, media analytics, optimization or a combination of related fields related to website performance analysis and media. Experience within agencies working with various clients or enterprise B2B companies with extended sales funnel scenarios is ideal for the role.

Responsibilities

Applied Paid Media Experience

  • The candidate should possess a natural understanding of how to plan and build and execute paid media campaigns to support performance media marketing strategies meant to drive customer acquisition, visitor engagement and upselling down the sales funnel. Paid media basics of audience building, ad development, tracking and trafficking processes should be well understood. around audience criteria and campaign objectives to promote content while applying different marketing tactics necessary across full-funnel marketing scenarios

Analytics & Reporting Skills

  • This specific media management role will more heavily focus on media reporting development, analytical insights, visualizations and developing actionable tactics. Candidates should have a strong background in management of performance media campaigns, with ability to conduct in-depth analysis of campaign data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. They should regularly utilize analytics and data visualization tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Excel, Looker and Tableau to track, measure, and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement of media campaign performance. Testing of new tactics across various digital channels, including paid search, programmatic display, ABM display, social media, and retargeting. Ideal candidates should be comfortable working with large data sets and merging systems for analysis using tools such as Excel to create reporting and data visualizations, gather insights and build stories for stakeholders and leadership as needed. The candidate should understand the value of research and reporting in planful media campaigns and have a operational understanding of how tracking and reporting systems work and integrate between other tools and systems

Communication and Collaboration

  • Strong communication skills are essential for a Marketing Manager at Equinix. Candidates should be able to effectively discuss key tactics, campaign plans and recommendations to stakeholders, content leaders, media team members and leadership to align marketing strategies and ensure consistent messaging and branding with emphasis on measurement report building and insights. They should be able to collaborate regularly internally with media team, externally with vendors and agencies, and as needed with cross-functional teams, including creative, content strategy, social media, alliance partners, regional and product teams. Candidates should have some comfort and previous experience developing presentations in collaboration with managers and stakeholders to share with other partners and leadership. As well as the ability to effectively report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, providing regular updates on campaign performance and trending progress over time

Project Management

  • Top candidates are self-starters with the ability to take inventory of critical needs and gaps within a program and pull together a cohesive plan with support of their manager while working within global process standards, practices and tools. The candidate should be well organized and capable of managing multiple campaigns simultaneously. They should be able to scale effectively to understand trends, using large data sets while understanding timing needs to prioritize tasks by effort and impact, set realistic deadlines, and proactively set actionable objectives and ensure timely execution of all paid campaigns

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external media vendors and agencies, ensuring effective collaboration, task management and delivery of services against expected SLAs. Agencies should regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to media team, providing regular updates on campaign performance, proactive tactical updates and trending progress over time

Continuous Learning

  • The candidate should have a natural curiosity for personal improvement. Stay up-to-date with ad industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. They should actively champion benefits of paid media in global marketing as a channel. Education and coaching of others regularly is expected to help convey expertise within the function

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required
  • Relevant certifications, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Learning and Demandbase ABM certifications, are a plus
  • At least 6 years of experience in performance-focused media, media analytics, optimization or a combination of related fields related to website performance analysis and media
