Manager, Data Center (Docklands, London)
Job Summary
Manages, trains, cross trains, develops, and motivates the team. Drafts budget proposals, provides status reports, internal/external customer and interdepartmental communications.
Responsibilities
Team Management
- Manages teams to ensure optimal performance of the Data Centers
- Develops and motivates team members
Technical Support
- Investigates technical issues and leads supervisors in resolving issues
- Provides root cause analysis
System Support
- Ensures team members are working within the system per the operational requirements
- Resolves basic issues
Facilities Management
- Reviews recommendations and pricing with local suppliers and keeps servicing records to ensure that data center infrastructure is properly maintained
Budgeting
- Drafts proposals for data center infrastructure improvements which require capital expenditure approval
Reporting
- Provides routine status reports on data center performance
Standards
- Accountable and responsible for adherence to and evolution of global standards
Qualifications
- Proven years' experience
- Bachelors
