Data Centre Critical Facilities Engineer (m/w/d)

Job Summary

As a Level 3 Critical Facility Engineer, you will perform semi-routine preventative and corrective maintenance on non-critical facility components. You will assist senior staff, coordinate with vendors, and support incident management activities.

Responsibilities

Facility/Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Performs semi-routine maintenance checks on non-critical facility components
  • Monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and responds to semi-routine alarms
  • Assists senior staff in higher facility repairs and maintenance

Vendor Support

  • Coordinates with vendors to ensure maintenance activities meet Equinix's standards
  • Supports the work order approval process for routine maintenance work

Site Administration & Incident Support

  • Performs semi-routine site logs for permits
  • Uses job skills to follow operating procedures for on-site administration

Work Orders & Additional Projects

  • Completes semi-routine work requests and circuit installations
  • Assists senior staff with on-site incidents

Collaboration

  • Collaborates with others to resolve semi-routine facility incidents
  • Assists senior staff on infrastructure projects

Qualifications

  • Experience in facility maintenance
  • Good knowledge of German and English
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors and follow standard operating procedures
  • Good problem-solving and incident support skills
  • Willingness to work 24/7 shifts
