Data Center Customer Operations Technician (m/w/d)

Job Summary
The Customer Operations Data Center Technician handles work order requests, maintains detailed documentation, and supports higher-level orders. Responsibilities include racking and stacking equipment, assisting with installations and cross-connects, conducting basic testing, and troubleshooting. The role also involves supporting operations and security teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing deployment expectations, providing on-site support, and assisting with projects under supervision. Key Responsibilities:
Queue Management / Reporting
- Promptly review and respond to work order requests.
- Collaborate on higher-level orders as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in the ticketing system.
Installations
- Rack and stack semi-routine customer equipment.
- Support routine installations, including ladder racks, fiber raceways, cable management, patch panels, ground cabinets, post racks, tape changes, and backup tasks.
Cross-Connect
- Assist with standard cross-connect work orders, including installation, terminations, and modifications.
Testing / Troubleshooting
- Support basic testing and installations.
- Assist with Layer 1 cross-connect certification testing.
- Perform semi-routine testing as advised.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Support operations and security teams as needed.
Customer Management
- Ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to order execution requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Aid in managing time expectations for new deployments.
- Offer on-site support through access and escorting services.
Requirements
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German and English.
- Educational Background: Completed training in IT or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Experience: Work experience in the IT field, hands-on experience with Hardware maintenance and installation, ticketing systems
- Customer Service: High customer and service orientation.
- Technical Skills: Very good computer skills.
