Data Center Customer Operations IV

Job Summary

This job requires a good understanding of the tasks involved and the ability to handle moderately difficult assignments. You will need to use your judgment to resolve issues and make recommendations. Your main focus will be on moderately difficult tasks, following standard operating procedures. You will also provide support to the overall team.

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders and complete moderately difficult requests within the specified timeframes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer tickets
  • Ensure accurate and complete reporting, including ad-hoc requests
  • Provide input and recommendations to improve processes
  • Maintain detailed records of all work activities
  • Update local asset databases and other systems
  • Handle moderately difficult customer equipment tickets
  • Read and implement moderately difficult installation plans
  • Assist with moderately difficult installations, such as cable trays, cabinets, and cable management systems
  • Identify capacity concerns and raise them for infrastructure expansions
  • Perform quality checks on cross-connects and on-site support tickets
  • Assist with datacenter cross-connect work, including installs, terminations, modifications, and testing
  • Install and test moderately difficult cross-connect circuits
  • Troubleshoot and escalate advanced circuits as needed
  • Collaborate with customers to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate material needs
  • Provide support for work orders and alarm dispatch
  • Provide backup support to security personnel if required
  • Ensure timely and accurate order execution to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with customers
  • Provide time expectations for new deployments and alterations
  • Support customers on-site with access control and escorting services
  • Serve as the point of contact for moderately difficult customer requests, exceptions, or escalations
  • Collaborate with team members on projects as directed
  • Coordinate vendors for Data Center-related projects
  • Perform quality assurance on new customer installations or deployments
  • Complete assigned training in a timely manner
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members and new hires if needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2-4 years of equivalent work experience
