Data Center Critical Facilities V

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical facility infrastructure in data centers. These facilities support hospitals, laboratories, and public safety centers, so it's crucial that they remain operational at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on critical facility components and systems
  • Repair, maintain, and inspect critical facility systems
  • Monitor and resolve alarms using the Building Monitoring System
  • Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems
  • Implement energy efficiency measures
  • Assist in coordinating critical infrastructures
  • Use judgment and initiative to complete assignments and make recommendations for solutions
  • Coordinate and direct vendors for maintenance tasks
  • Assist with creating and submitting maintenance scripts
  • Track and approve work by service providers for critical maintenance
  • Update technical files for plants and equipment
  • Create site logs and gather data for permits
  • Identify and recommend solutions for Single Points of Failure
  • Respond to on-site incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis, and support on-site staff
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed
  • Complete skilled work requests and circuit installations
  • Troubleshoot and maintain office equipment if necessary
  • Make changes to mechanical, electrical, and specialized systems as directed
  • Carry out complex infrastructure projects
  • Support life cycle maintenance and critical replacements
  • Collaborate with others to resolve facility incidents
  • Mentor team members on maintenance activities
  • Manage inventory needs for critical parts and equipment
  • Mentor others in resolving incidents

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. and have manual dexterity
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, respond to emergencies, and fill in for colleagues
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience preferred
  • High School Diploma
