Job Summary
Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within a professional discipline. Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques to identify cause. Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach.
This job is the fully qualified, experienced professional, journey-level position.
Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission- critical datacenter systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause
Reporting
- Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities
Site Maintenance
- Oversees the site maintenance and up keep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards
Assess Adherence to Policy
- Ensures all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturer's guidelines and best practices
Complexity & Problem Solving
- Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components
- Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues
- Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points
Collaboration & Interaction
- Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes
- Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion
- Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters
Design
- Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)
Qualifications
- Typically requires a proven years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or proven years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $109,000 to $163,000 per year• California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $100,000 to $150,000 per year• Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $90,000 to $136,000 per yearOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
