Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive team member for our Frankfurt Critical facilities, FR13. Your role will involve semi-routine maintenance and repairs, coordinating with vendors, supporting site administration, completing work orders, and collaborating on infrastructure projects. You will also assist senior staff, ensure vendor compliance, and manage inventory needs.
Responsibilities
- Keep the Lights On: Manage and maintain the electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Be the Guardian: Perform site inspections, supervise building and IBX (data center) alarms, and oversee preventative maintenance
- Hands-On Action: Repair and maintain equipment, gather data for permits, and complete site logs
- Team Player: Assist senior staff with on-site incidents and start taking on basic incidents independently
- Project Contributor: Help out with infrastructure projects and tackle small works projects like lighting upgrades
- Shift Hero: Work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, ensuring our operations are always covered
- Client Champion: Resolve client tickets through the Equinix Ticket system, meeting SLA standards
- Safety First: Report any health and safety issues to your line manager promptly
Requirements
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and German.
- Educational Background: Completed vocational training as an electrician / electronics technician / energy electronics technician / refrigeration and air conditioning technician or equivalent
- Experience: Broad knowledge of critical infrastructure and corrective/preventive maintenance
- Customer Service: A self-motivated and flexible and adaptable individual who communicates clearly with customers.
- Demonstrates consistency in reporting and follows documentation and processes, including MOPs (Method of Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
