Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of Critical Facilities, including data centers, hospitals, laboratories, and public safety centers. Your primary focus will be on HVAC work, but you will also have the opportunity to expand your skill set in electrical and mechanical environments. We are seeking individuals with HVAC maintenance experience who are eager to grow their expertise in these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, corrective maintenance, and routine installations of Critical Facility infrastructure, with a primary focus on HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman HVAC certification; technical HVAC certifications or training in HVAC preferred
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with a willingness to learn and grow in these areas.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage maintenance tasks and documentation.
- Flexibility to work on-call or during off-hours as needed to address emergency situations or critical maintenance needs.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
