Commissioning Manager
Job Profile Summary
The job involves coordinating and executing commissioning plans for large-scale greenfield data centers and retrofitting live data centers. The responsibilities can be segregated as follows:
What you'll be doing
Project Management:
- Execute and track multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with both business operations and construction managers.
- Liaise with internal construction managers and external general contractors for planning and executing commissioning activities.
- Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track commissioning projects.
- Track and update the project budget for all commissioning activities.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing.
Customer Interface:
- Support senior management in customer interactions, acting as a point of contact when management is unavailable.
Process Management:
- Follow all commissioning processes.
- Meet schedules and due dates based on specific customer contract requirements.
Reporting:
- Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports.
- Write comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, lists of deficiencies, and equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
- Provide project-based feedback to Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment vendors.
Vendor Management:
- Track the progress of external resources.
- Schedule and run commissioning meetings.
What we'll expect from you
- Extensive experience in data center commissioning is preferred.
- Leadership experience in a mission-critical environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Advanced English is a must.
