Job Summary:
Are you ready to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and innovative environment? As the Assistant Manager for the Critical Facilities Team at Equinix, reporting into the Data Centre Manager for our FR11x Data centre, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our data center operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead a talented team, manage exciting projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain our high standards of excellence. Responsibilities:
- Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of skilled professionals and support staff.
- Ensure timely execution of responsibilities and project milestones.
- Handle personnel matters including salaries, hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and development.
- Project / Infrastructure Site Management:
- Plan, coordinate, budget, and implement resources for projects and maintenance within the data center.
- Develop and manage routine operational plans to meet monthly targets.
- Provide input and guidance towards budget planning and management.
- Oversee overall site capacity and ensure optimal utilization.
- Vendor Management:
- Oversee contractor work and operations, ensuring compliance with Equinix standards.
- Testing:
- Assist with startup tests, documenting and reporting any issues encountered.
- Incident Management:
- Communicate and coordinate activities with on-site staff during incidents to ensure swift resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience in leading/supervising facilities management in a data center environment.
- Extensive technical knowledge of critical infrastructure and overall data centre operations.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
- Excellent project management skills with experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with vendor management and contractor oversight.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
