Account Manager

Amarillo, TX / Remote

Location: In office Monday-Friday, Amarillo, Texas. (Not Remote)

 

Account Manager provide excellent customer service by ensuring all client needs are met by building robust relationships through working to understand client needs and providing solutions that effectively protect the client’s risks. This is an internal and external support role, with increasing opportunities for client-facing activities based on demonstrated proficiency with the content and relationship-building skills.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

This role is responsible for, although not limited to, the following job duties:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance clients
  • Effectively interact / communicate with clients and insurance company representatives
  • Respond to client questions, requests and projects in a timely manner
  • Provide placement services for clients including assistance with completion of insurance applications, marketing / securing quotations from insurance carriers, reviewing and analyzing quotations, and providing proposals with recommendations for consideration to prospective clients
  • Working with team members at all levels to ensure client satisfaction. Proactively addressing client issues whenever possible.  Immediately addressing matters impacting customer satisfaction as they arise. Managing and growing underwriter relationships to ensure understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Submission of renewal business to various markets and maintaining a productive relationship with insurance company underwriters and staff. Working with team members to execute all renewals in a timely manner. Generation of accurate renewal submission, proposals, and timely handling of surplus lines filings.
  • Policy Administration:  Checking policies, coverage analysis, checking endorsements
  • Effectively managing preparation and production of all elements of presentations for client meetings and properly representing the company. Attending client meetings, addressing client questions, and identifying next steps as appropriate.
  • Communicate with Insureds and certificate holders  to assess certificate needs and ultimate issuance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 7 years working as an Account Manager required
  • Strong ability to multi-task and assign priority
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities - can effectively triage third-party requests
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently
  • Highly responsive to client inquiries and requests
  • Familiarity with certificate issuance and strong understanding of Commercial Insurance coverage
  • Strong computer skills including MS office suite, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Texas Property & Casualty Agents license required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to go out on client calls, both local and possibly out of state
  • Ability to handle basic office procedures i.e., answering phones, work on computer/laptop, move files no more than 5 - 10 lbs
