As a Team Lead Data Software Engineer (Azure, Databricks, PySpark, Fintech), you will be part of a team involved in unifying the client's product data via a modern API, automating analytics to improve efficiency, and leveraging AI-driven tools like large language models (LLMs) to enhance news coverage and market insights. The project also includes developing advanced loan mapping tools to boost accuracy and scalability, ensuring they remain the trusted leader in loan market intelligence.
The role requires some onsite weekly client presence near Liverpool St, London.

Responsibilities
- Delivery of high-quality analytics product solutions to clients, with a commercial focus in collaboration with the Analytics Business, Product, Research and Sales teams, to deliver analytics products used by leading financial institutions world-wide, and drive revenues for a growing Analytics business
- Lead the development and execution of strategic technology initiatives for analytics products including application and data cloud migration in alignment with the client's analytics and engineering platform strategies, architecture, operational and risk processes
- Support an API-first analytics business strategy to design and build SaaS and PaaS solutions, including analytics data solutions, quantitative models, risk analytics, customised reporting tools and other sophisticated analytical tools
- Extend and support a hybrid multi-cloud analytics platform and application infrastructure designed to deliver quality, efficient and resilient analytics solutions to buy-side and sell-side clients
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to the quantitative development community to drive high performance to ensure they have the technical skills and financial market knowledge required to deliver against long-term plans
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in both internal processes and practices as well as external solutions and deliverables
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields or relevant work experience
- Strong engineering leadership experience with analytics software product development or analytics SaaS/PaaS solutions
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure, Databricks and PySpark
- Strong practical knowledge and experience in Python and related technologies
- Experience leading, designing, and delivering, cloud, API service-based analytics product solutions and services
- Experience in development of complex, distributed, multi-tier systems
- Significant expertise in high-quality software design, architecture, product domain, process automation, software validation and verification testing
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-driven, goal-oriented with solid people leadership experience, able to nurture talent and drive an analytics development team in a performance-based environment
- Good financial services industry experience and, ideally some expertise in Fixed Income and Securitized products and valuations
