Software Engineering Manager

Currently, we are looking for a Software Engineering Manager for our Georgian office to make the team even stronger.

Additionally, an important part of this role will be resource management and building the organization. This means coaching people, defining personal development plans for them, a recruitment demand, hiring proper people, and allocating them to projects that match their skills and ambitions. You will also be responsible for creating an enjoyable working environment for your team members, creating career development plans, and keeping them motivated.
This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Responsibilities
  • Plan the resources required to support both new opportunities and established business of the company
  • Hire new people both from the market and other locations (internal mobility) according to the defined plan. Establish effective onboarding process
  • Perform knowledge management within the organization, define skills/technologies to be learned and request respective trainings
  • Perform motivation actions, and coach/verify how team leaders perform the same
  • Actively contribute to the software development process and engineering standards (both corporate and project-specific)
  • Establish long-term partnerships with the clients and manage their expectations. Take end-to-end responsibility over the delivery
  • Define project schedules, manage activities, determine team priorities and drive the resolution of issues and defects; ensure assigned projects are completed on time and up to client's expectations
  • Participate in overall project design, manage product life cycle processes and procedures to ensure the project meets financial, business and schedule goals and on time
  • Work with developers on interpreting requirements, supervising development process, ensuring work and quality are up to client's expectation and reviewing final deliverables
  • Ensure all product deliverables are satisfied with the client (architecture, design documents, test cases, etc.)
Requirements
  • 7+ years of working experience in software engineering in .NET
  • 3+ years of expertise in delivering projects using Agile methodology (experience with Kanban and Scrum is preferable)
  • Strong expertise in project management and software engineering standards and practices Experience in managing a team of 20+ people and resolving people management questions

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
