Site Reliability Engineer (Python)

Join one of the largest compute infrastructure providers in the world as a Site Reliability Engineer, working on the Cluster Infrastructure team. This team managesinternal cluster management platform, which operates at massive scale and is conceptually similar to Kubernetes.
This is a world-class work environment where you will gain hands-on experience with best design practices for large-scale distributed systems. You will work on migrating legacy deployment and monitoring systems, maintaining and refactoring internal services, and collaborating with SRE teams to optimize cluster management infrastructure.
This position offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Krakow/Wroclaw/Gdansk.

Responsibilities
  • Migrate legacy deployment and monitoring systems to new tools and services
  • Maintain and refactor various services that interact with the infrastructure
  • Collaborate with SRE teams to gain deep knowledge of the architecture, mechanisms, and interfaces with live systems
  • Learn and work with client's internal tools
  • Investigate current configurations of internal tools and services
  • Develop unit, integration, and functional tests for all code changes where applicable
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for services and tools
Requirements
  • Strong Linux fundamentals and hands-on experience with system operations
  • Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
  • Experience with Bash scripting for system-level tasks
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge of software testing principles
  • Ability to work autonomously on tasks that may be defined at a high level
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Experience in cross-team collaboration within an organization
  • English proficiency (B2/B2+) for effective communication and documentation
Nice to have
  • Experience with Go (Golang) for backend development
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise, particularly in IAM management and networking
