Responsibilities
- Engineer support for our Gaming Client's observability infrastructure utilized by online services
- Operate autonomously from open-ended objectives
- Effective communication in English with team members and stakeholders
- Sustain, support, and enhance existing infrastructure
- Oversee the integration of third-party systems
- Engage in rotation to maintain continuous operational systems
- Attend on-call shifts as needed, with extra compensation provided
- Work with product engineering teams to improve service observability
- Emphasize best practices for collecting logs and observability metrics
- Aid in the creation of new products and enhancement of current systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years in a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer role
- Extensive experience with cloud environments
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python and Bash
- Knowledge in programming languages such as Golang
- Deep understanding of observability concepts like counters, gauges, and alert design
- Acquaintance with PromQL and NRQL
- Background in distributed tracing
- Understanding of fundamental networking principles
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Background in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and Sumologic
- Prior experience in the gaming sector
- Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
