We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL databases to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our business applications.

• Build new solutions on the platform as prioritized by product management and regulators
• Deliver optimized and scalable solutions to minimize ongoing support requirements
• Collaborate with development, professional services, QA, and support teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of business solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and document system features/functionality
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing progress updates and escalating critical issues as necessary
• Handle data extraction, remediation, manipulation, and validation against various XML schemas
• Develop and refine software development skills while gaining knowledge in other domains to understand interdependencies
• Lead design efforts and planning for user stories
• Foster an understanding of organizational strategy and culture and their influence on individual work assignments

• Background in T-SQL development spanning at least 5 years, with proficiency on Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2017
• Skills in creating and optimizing large, complex T-SQL transactional statements
• Competency in database architecture design and performance tuning
• Experience with handling large data sets (billions of records)
• Capability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving a variety of database issues including integrity, performance, workflows, and deadlocking
• Proficiency in developing, implementing, and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and batch jobs
• Proficiency in data manipulation, remediation, and processing, including backup/restore, data validation/cleaning, and historical replays
• Familiarity with XML processing in SQL, schema validation, and developing XML transformations

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools like Jira and Confluence
• Background in the financial, banking, or insurance sectors
• Knowledge of Java, advanced XML, Python or Snowflake
