We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer proficient in Database Administration and Cloud Migration to join our team.
You will play a critical role in ensuring database availability and stability while proactively identifying and resolving issues. Your expertise will support our database operations and maintenance activities, making a significant impact on our overall infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Ensure database availability and stability through proactive monitoring
- Identify and resolve issues while overseeing database operations
- Plan and support maintenance activities for optimal performance
- Perform root cause analysis when necessary to troubleshoot problems
- Communicate progress, issues, and difficulties to relevant parties
- Mentor junior staff to enhance their understanding of critical processes
- Review and sign off on database deployments for quality assurance
- Engage with architects and senior developers to support technical designs
- Install new database infrastructure and equipment as required
- Conduct thorough impact analysis of database activities on infrastructure
- Respond to issues and support calls in compliance with procedures
- Participate in On-Call rotation for off-peak hours and maintenance activities

- Experience in supporting various Relational Database Management Systems
- Background in Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon Redshift
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services and associated DBaaS technologies
- Understanding of database infrastructure maintenance and administration
- Capability to analyze and optimize database-related issues
- Experience in implementing Enterprise Database High Availability techniques
- Demonstration of technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and independently
- Fluency in English for effective communication
