Senior Snowpark Engineer

We are actively looking for a highly competent Senior Snowpark Engineer to enhance our dynamic team.
In this capacity, you will take charge of developing, optimizing, and sustaining data pipelines leveraging Snowpark technologies. Your pivotal contributions will bolster efficient data processing and aid our commitment to data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute scalable and dependable data pipelines utilizing Snowpark
• Effectively apply Snowpark's API for large dataset management and processing
• Create and sustain UDFs and Stored Procedures within Snowflake
• Compose exceptional, scalable Python code for data engineering and analytics purposes
• Transform data leveraging Pandas and PySpark in Python environments
• Use Snowpark's DataFrame API for sophisticated querying and data manipulations
• Enhance data workflows by transitioning SQL-based workflows to DataFrame operations
• Oversee source code and version control utilizing GitLab
• Build and oversee CI/CD pipelines to automate Snowflake deployments
• Apply GitOps methodologies for managing data infrastructure as code

• 3+ years in Snowpark with expertise in constructing and enhancing data pipelines
• Strong proficiency in Python for writing efficient and maintainable scripts
• Deep understanding of Snowpark's DataFrame API with distributed processing experience
• Background in utilizing GitLab for source code management and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of UDFs and Stored Procedures in Snowflake
• Qualifications in creating CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake deployment
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP integrated with Snowflake
• Understanding of IAM, security, and access control settings in Snowflake environments
• Robust knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns
• Capability to manage clustering, partitioning, and query performance tuning in Snowflake

• Capability to devise cost-efficient design strategies within Snowflake
• Showcase of familiarity with data engineering best practices and large-scale data workflows
